Someone started an Academic Philosophy sub-group on Reddit. I love the mission statement.

This reddit is intended for practicing philosophers – undergraduate students, graduate students, professors or researchers. People who like /r/philosophy but find the insipid self posts and cartoons tiresome. Persons with academic training outside of philosophy are welcome.
Links to articles of merit and length are expected. Self posts are generally discouraged. Comments should be thoughtful.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Reddit, it’s a social bookmarking site. Social bookmarking sites are one of the best ways to find new, interesting content on line.

One of the reasons I started Sympoze was that I was tired of seeing stuff that wasn’t really philosophy getting promoted through the ranks as philosophy on Digg and Reddit. I wanted a place where only academic philosophers could submit/vote up content.

I’m happy to see more places where people with serious interest in academic philosophy can collectively share/promote interesting content. Hopefully, this sub-reddit catches on and stays troll free.
